See artist Weldon Ryan at the Orlando Carnival!

Let us jump up and fete celebrating our Caribbean Heritage in a colorful haze of enjoyment. I want Bacchanal. As I visualize this for my paintings I’ll take photo's of my proud and beautiful Caribbean people. I will then create the art of Carnival. An image of you may be on my canvas as I paint Carnival.


My goal with my Carnival Series is to capture the fete with each painting, whether on Eastern Parkway in New York, in Orlando, in St Pete, in Miami, in Trinidad or else where, creating an endless dance with feathered costumes, vivid colors, and the loud in-your-face attitude you give jumping up in the bands.


I’ m extremely passionate about my people, our history and our culture, this is the main reason I am drawn to this subject matter. As a realism painter, what better place to cast my net to grab a variety of fascinating faces, races, sexes, shapes and sizes, but at the West Indian Carnival Parade.
